On Tuesday, November 19, from 6:00 - 7:30 pm, the DVRPC Public Participation Task Force (PPTF) is hosting a meeting on diverse public health initiatives and innovative programs across various government levels. Speakers include Amy Verbofsky, Manager, Healthy and Resilient Communities, DVRPC, who will present on the Camden Health Plan; Liz Compitello, Manager, Office of Sustainable Energy, DVRPC, who will present on the Regional Climate Action Plan; and J.T. Roane, Assistant Professor of Africana Studies and Geography, Rutgers University, who will present on the history of Black urban placemaking in Philadelphia. From climate pollution reduction efforts to urban placemaking and community health, attendees will walk away from the meeting with strategies that promote healthier communities across the region.
