The Transportation and Community Development Initiative program has invested over $25.3 million in the region since it began in 2002.

At its June meeting, the DVRPC Board approved $1.4 million in funding for nine projects on the Pennsylvania side of the region through the FY27 PA round of the Transportation and Community Development Initiative (TCDI) program. TCDI is a funding opportunity for local planning initiatives that advance the goals of the region’s long-range plan and enhance the multimodal transportation network. The TCDI program has invested over $25.3 million in the region since it began in 2002.

The awarded projects focus on advancing multimodal transportation planning, expanding regional trail and transportation networks, improving accessibility, and supporting community visioning studies. Their geographic scope ranges from individual municipalities to multi-municipal trail and transportation corridors that connect communities across the Greater Philadelphia region. The next TCDI program for New Jersey will be offered in January 2027. Learn more about TCDI.
